Understand Weight Training Programming for Quicker Success

Tuesday April 17, 2007

I just produced a weight training guide that summarizes most of the latest foundation information for training with weights for success. This should help new and even experienced trainers to grasp the fundamental principles -- even if you have never previously bothered much with the detail. It's not a book of course, so the info is in short bursts so that you can absorb it easily.

Sometimes, knowing just why something works, or how or when it works can give you an 'aha' moment and let you solve problems that you didn't know existed -- like progressing from one stage to another, or preventing that injury. It's a bit like Donald Rumsfeld's 'unknown unknowns': some things 'you know you don't know' and some things 'you don't know you don't know'.

Anyway, I know there's plenty I don't know because weight training is a complex activity. Some call it more an art than a science, so feel free to let me know what I don't know. Leave a comment. Have your say. Make my day. Or just read the article: Best Weight Training Guide for New Trainers.
