Strength and Power - A Full-Season Baseball Weight Training Program

Friday September 14, 2007

Most sports incorporate weight training in their training program these days. Strength and power are the dual characteristics of so many skills at the top level of most professional sports.

San Diego Padres v Los Angeles Dodgers - Chad Billingsley

You don't have to be a professional to incorporate weight training into your ball training. Run faster, hit harder, throw that fastball, take that fence catch -- the more strength and power you can apply to your game, without losing speed and agility, the better player you will be.

Here's a periodized weight training program divided into pre-season, in-season and off-season, to get you into peak performance condition for next season.
