The competition Olympic lifts are the Clean and Jerk and the Snatch. They may look straight forward, except for the big weights, but developing good form and execution are complex technical skills that require hours of practice.

Many practice drills exist, and most of these are elements of the complete lift. Even if you don't want to be an Olympic weightlifter, you can use these drills to build strength, power, flexibility and muscle. Read on . . .

Good article. I’ve found that nothing beats olympic lifts when it comes to explosive strength. If you’re an athlete, you’re missing out if you’re not doing them.
