Climbing is not only an adventure sport, it is a competitive sport as well. Indoor climbing is popular, and the brave men scaling big walls and mountains, roped or free, never cease to amaze.

You need strength, and physical and mental endurance to to climb at the extreme end. You have to train for appropriate fitness, as you would for any other challenging activity.
