Shoulder injuries are common in people who train with weights. The remarkable shoulder joint, which does just about everything a joint can do in a primate -- extension, flexion, rotation, and circumduction -- is sustained by a complex group muscles and ligaments.
Unfortunately, the stresses and strains on the all-dancing shoulder joint rotator cuff and capsule can cause it to fail, sometimes mysteriously, and often as a result of too much load when the joint is in a susceptible position.
