I'm not a big fan of the term 'over-reaching'. In reality, it doesn't mean much. At times, we all training too hard and need to rest a little more when attempting to optimize our training workload. This is how it is; get used to it; it's not abnormal and is not over-reaching.
On the other hand, 'over-training' does have some meaning because it is more a chronic condition in essence. Find out how you know when to address the effects of excessive training workload.
