For a decade Mark Lauren has created some of the leanest, strongest military personnel in the country according to the publicity for this book. It seems that because of Lauren’s fine record, his training methods have become recognized at top levels. The exercises can be practiced by men and women in living rooms, bedrooms or offices. Lauren provides a simple 10-week program (workout only 30 minutes, 4 days a week) of bodyweight exercises for practitioners at all levels of fitness and athletic ability.
The paperback book is by Mark Lauren and Joshua Clark and is published by Light Of New Orleans Publishing, 170 pages.

This book is a great source of exercises and workout programs for anyone wanting to do strength training at home, even though some of the bodyweight exercises are conceived with the help of household equipment.
The illustrations are well conceived for representing the exercises described.
The editing and spelling in the original edition (a reprint is apparently in the works) was poor and detracted from the overall theme and information.
The early chapters about special forces military training were informative and laid good ground for the rest of the book, although the inference that the programs in the book could replicate that level of fitness is somewhat overstated. Even so, I have great respect for the abilities and performance achievements of Mr Mark Lauren.
I did not agree with some of the exercise science information in the book regarding fat burning, post-exercise metabolism and the value of aerobic and endurance training. The nutritional information is sound for the most part.
If you want a bible on bodyweight exercises, this is an excellent choice. Some of the other information is not so well conceived in my view, but the book offers good value for home trainers.
